HUMBLE

Just when you think you got it going on. Just when things are going just the way you want them to.....WHAM!!!! Life smacks your ass right back to reality. Could it be because you forgot that it wasn't just the fruit of your labor that got you to this high and mighty place where you are. You had help from up above. Sometimes we forget that and we have to be put in check.

That's why Lady has been absent for so long. Goin thru some shit and feelin like "poor pitiful me." I had truly forgot what it was like to live on the brink of losing everything. I had forgot that my answer to adversity is to retreat to this deep dark place where practically no one can reach me. Hell there was a couple of points when I didn't want to be reached. Thank God for my friend Alex who recognized that I was not being myself and called me out on it. His question to me was are you in that dark place again? You see he knows that I've been there before. He knows how it is because like me he has been there too. It was my hand stretched out that helped bring him back. Funny how that works out. Never will I take anything for granted again. Never will I forget where I came from and never again will I forget that only thru the grace of God am I the man I am today.

I'm on my way back now and staying strong is my goal. Just as I wake up every day to go to work for someone else...I will do something for myself...everyday!!!
